Does my development need a SAPS report?

Part L of the Building Regulations requires a SAPs calculation for each new build dwelling, conversion and extension.

The assessment procedure calculates the heat loss of your design and that its energy efficiency is complaint with the current Building Regulations.

The Process

The following information is required to provide a SAPs report.

  • Floor plans, sections & elevations
  • Site plan to show orientation
  • Construction specification of the windows, walls, roofs, floors, heating system, renewable technology supplies, and insulation.

TIP – ensure a record is kept of all U- Values of the products used, and retain photos of the installation.
